Riva Junior

Launched at Genoa Boat Show in 1966 with the slogan “the teenager’s bomb”, the Riva Junior is a clear example of a versatile runabout with double vocation: familiar and playful.
Carlo Riva’s goal is to design a boat that is very easy to drive and maintain allowing its owners (even younger ones) to safely make sea sports such as fishing and water skiing. There are several elements that make this model unique. First of all the sides pianted with orange peel white varnish, typical of American Utility vessels of the ‘60s. Another singular aspect is the stern’s shape that doesn’t look like traditional Riva models. It has been designed with an outward projection to protect passengers from the splashes of the sea. Also the design of bollards is a boat’s peculiarity. Indeed they are ring-shaped to make easier the operations of hauling and launching. Like all Riva runabout, also the Junior has VIP owners such as Brigitte Bardot, Liz Taylor and Richard Burton.
This model was launched in 1967 and it is in good general condition. The engine has been completely overhauled and serviced.
This boat is therefore ready to cruise and does not require any major work.
