Riva Scoiattolo
From the Riva Catalogue: ’ The slender and elegant line, the luxurious fittings and the control placed forward, with electric start, make the Scoiattolo the best and most complete outboard you will be proud to own. Economic and fast, it will tow you brilliantly on the skis. Sturdy and light, it can be easily trailed by your car.’
The name ‘Scoiattolo’ is attributed by Carlo Riva, to indicate its lightness and agility. Since 1952 it was built entirely in cedar with planking screwed from the inside, the seats with makò cotton cushions are dark green quilted with white cotton flakes on two benches, the driving seat can be reclined to form the sundeck. The windshield is in wraparound plexiglass. Only about ten now in the world, this makes the Scoiattolo, together with the Corsaro, the rarest motorboat among those built by Carlo Riva. This Riva Scoiattolo is from 1955 and has just been completely restored. It's for sale with 2 engines (Evinrude Fastwin 2 strokes of 1969 and Honda BF20 4 strokes of 2022 for using it without problem). An incredible opportunity to own a rarity from the Riva world.
