Offshorer Marine Monte Carlo 30

Carlo Riva, founder of the Riva Shipyards, is the mind behind the MonteCarlo Offshorer project in the 70s.

Carlo Riva, founder of the Riva Shipyards, is the mind behind the MonteCarlo Offshorer project in the 70s. Immediately after selling the Riva Shipyard to Bertram, Ing. Riva imported a futuristic idea with a deep V hull from the United States, a highly innovative project because the overhangs in the hull would create a "lift" effect, making it faster and lighter on the surface of the water. Bob Hobbs, a visionary mathematician and marine engineer, invented the first hull with a V-step design, but encountered major production problems in South Florida. Carlo Riva was close to him, he also involved Cal Connell (owner and founder of Mercruiser) and brought the innovative concept to Italy to put it into production. Thus was born MonteCarlo Offshorer, in a small shipyard in Ventimiglia called "Mare e Sole", a few miles from Monaco.
The Monte-Carlo Offshorer soon became the "icon" of the French Riviera. A total of 343 were built: one of the most successful stories in the nautical sector.
The unmistakable MonteCarlo Offshorer logo strongly evokes the concept of speed and at the same time recalls the glittering years of the "Dolce Vita" on the Côte d'Azur. Today it is still considered one of the most elegant boats ever designed with the hull and waterlines that are still considered the best ever designed today, allowing for great maneuverability, seaworthiness and very high speeds even in rough seas.
This MC30 is equipped with two BPM Vulcano 375 hp petrol engines, the maximum power available at the time of production of the Offshorer (only 4 out of 343 were factory equipped with BPM Vulcano). This engine is 30% lighter, thanks to many aluminum parts, and 30% more powerful than the most popular Mercruiser engines (also used on the Riva Aquarama).
For greater maintenance and reliability, a fresh water system has been added for the internal washing of the engines after the day at sea.
List of works carried out in recent years:
2019 - New Fusion stereo system, new electrical, plumbing and mechanical system; BPM Vulcano 375 engines overhauled at 0 hours from the BPM factory, now have about 150 hours of motion; assembly of new BPM v-drives; new cover.
2022 - Hull, lines and deck painting; New upholstery below deck; New upholstery for the helm seat, cockpit sofa and aft sundeck; new batteries.
Further information on request.

The cockpit of the motorboat is of the classic type, with a large aft sundeck and a central and enveloping helm seat, in the bow a cabin with two berths, all finished with great attention to detail.
Broadcast notes: BPM 2019
